Fruit Fruit Mouth Mouth is happy to announce that it will be performing a lively snippet of our show at the Day of Delight Festival 2015! Our two heroic maidens, Laura and Lizzie, will explore the magical forests of Dufferin Grove Park in search of some beautiful flowers to brighten up their home. Watch out! Out from behind the trees creep the goblin fruit-merchant men looking for innocent young maidens to sell their fruit to and they can be quite persuasive.

The Day of Delight Festival is in its 13th year and every month of June it brings a parade of love, joy, and puppets to the Dufferin Grove Park space that Clay and Paper call their home. This year the festival will feature performances for the whole family: dance troupes, musicians, sock and shadow puppets, masked creatures (wonder who that could be), and a world made entirely of cardboard aptly named Cardboardia. The festival officially begins June 21 at 2:00PM but the fun lasts all day long. For more information you can visit their facebook page or their website.

Join Illume Collective in our sneak peek of Fruit Fruit Mouth Mouth at this year's Day of Delight. The performance will feature singing, dancing, and a love story between our two maidens. A love that is stronger than any magic fruit or mystical creature.

Outtakes from a Fruit Fruit Photoshoot!

During rehearsal Friday May 15, we decided to spontaneously purchase three full bags of fruit, four cans of concentrated frozen fruit syrup, and a knife. All in the name of art! What followed was Illume Collective's first ever Fruit Fruit Photoshoot! AKA Fruit Fruit Photo-Fruit or even Photo Photo Mouth Mouth.

Over the next few weeks we'll be teasing you with our tantalizing photos. Until then, please enjoy these silly outtakes!

Announcing Fruit Fruit Mouth Mouth!

Hello beautiful world! We are a new theatre company producing a show in Toronto's 2015 Fringe Festival. The show is titled Fruit Fruit Mouth Mouth and it is an adaptation of Christina Rosetti's poem The Goblin Market. I recommend giving it a read, it's a great and fun poem about Goblins, fruit markets, sisterly love, and casual death.

Fruit Fruit Mouth Mouth is directed by Shauna Sloan and features the performing talents of Julia Matias, Alexi Pedneault, Callie Presniak, Molly Thomas, and Philip Turkiewicz. Our lighting designer is the ever crafty and superbly talented Wesley Mckenzie. Our sound designer, Luke Pieroni, also happens to co-run his own company Epigraph Collective (no relation). And finally, Rochelle Grandmont is organizing this chaotic whirlwind of an artistic collective.

Together we are Illume Collective and we are bringing a new light to Toronto's Fringe Festival. In the upcoming weeks we will have more information on the fine members of this fine group. Also photos of cool things like honey bees and people bending in weird positions.

Also Facebook. Also Twitter. Also a pig in a dress!
